Martha Ann McAtee, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at Heritage Nursing & Rehab, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, Iowa. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Iowa.
Martha was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Louella (Johnson) McAtee. She graduated from Center Point High School in 1958 and worked for Rockwell for 38 years. Martha was a member of IBEW. She enjoyed her coffee at Scott's Restaurant and her tea at the Starlite Room. Martha also loved listening to music and reading a good book. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school.
Survivors include her sister, Susan (Randy) Thede of Cedar Rapids; brother, Charles McAtee of Clarence, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; and a sister-in-law, Joyce McAtee of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Louella; brothers, Bob (Betty), Rex, Don (Donna) and Jim; and sister-in-law, Rosie McAtee.
