Marlys E. Tritle, 83, of Springville, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, in Albert Lea, Minn. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the funeral home. Burial: Springville Cemetery, Springville.
Marlys is survived by her son, Randy Tritle of Clarks Grove, Minn.; daughter, Mary Kaye (Wayne) Von Hagen of Glenville, Minn.; grandchildren, Gary (Tammi) Tritle of Clarks Grove, Shari Charron of Glenville, Minn., Mike Von Hagen of Wickenburg, Ariz., Nicole Tritle of Minneapolis and Travis Tritle of Owatonna, Minn.; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Evelyn; husband, Ivan; and brothers, Larry, Don and Chuck.
Marlys was born Feb. 6, 1934, in Coggon, Iowa, the daughter of Ivan and Evelyn (Hepker) Coonrod. On Aug. 31, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, she married Ivan Tritle. Marlys was employed doing a variety of tasks, including driving a semi and school bus and being a security guard. She also farmed and was employed at Land O'Lakes.
Marlys enjoyed camping, fishing, farming, driving a semi, playing bingo, listening to bluegrass music and spending time with family and friends.
