Mark A. Streff, 63, of Maquoketa, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, Dec. 8, 2018, at his home in Maquoketa. Friends and family may gather in remembrance of Mark from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation will follow the gathering and a private burial will be held at a later date at Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.
Mark Alan Streff was born Sept. 13, 1955, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Richard Norman and Elizabeth Ann (Bohling) Streff. He was a 1974 graduate of Maquoketa High School and a 1976 graduate of Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo.
Mark was a freelance graphic artist. He had previously worked in Chicago and for Ertl Toy Co. in Dyersville for many years. Mark was an avid reader of books and enjoyed genealogy, volunteering for community activities and computer technology.
Those left to honor Mark's memory include his siblings, Steve (Deb) Streff of Cedar Rapids, Pam (Greg) Clements of Omaha, Neb., Amy Streff of Maquoketa and Lora Reafsnider of Clinton; one aunt, Peg Phillips of Seattle, Wash.; seven nephews; three nieces; seven grandnephews; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Lorenzen.
