Mark Rawson, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Manor Care Nursing Home. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Covington, Iowa.
Mark is survived by his mother; his children, Chad (Brande), Andi Miller (Landon) and Eric, all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; siblings, Francey Smith (Terry), Virgil "Bud" (Vickie) and Angie Foster (Dan); and many nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Jeffery.
Mark was born on Oct. 3, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Virgil and Ruby (Prochaska). He attended Jefferson High School, and later graduated with his GED. After high school, he signed up for the National Guard and served for four years. A lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, he worked primarily as a painter for Iowa Manufacturing, retiring in 2015. He also owned a lawn care business, which he took care of until his death.
