Mark Allan Myers, 56, of Mechanicsville, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, after a battle with lung cancer. Memorial services: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday before the service.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Pamela (Bill) Lee; son, Doug Wolf; grandson, Jax Lee; mother, Bertha Starr; siblings, David Myers, Diane (Scott) Ballinger, Dawn (Kevin) Simmons, and Michael (Connie) Myers; mother-in-law, Florence Dauber; sisters-in-law, Joyce Dauber and Janice Schnipkoweit; many nieces and nephews; and dog, Buster.
Mark was born Oct. 30, 1959, in Cedar Rapids to Cecil and Bertha (Kammerman) Myers. He married Carolyn Dauber on Aug. 16, 2003, in Mechanicsville. He worked at Plaza Auto Auction for many years, and most recently at North Cedar School as a custodian.
He enjoyed detailing automobiles, fishing and spending time with his beloved family and Buster.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Carl Starr; and father-in-law, Robert Dauber.
A memorial fund has been established in Mark's name.
