Mark Meskimen, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died suddenly on January 15, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Celebration of Life services will be at Guthrie Park Pavilion on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Mark was born August 22, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Roger and Rachel (Yancey) Meskimen. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School, class of 1981. Mark worked as a professional painter for many years and retired from Nordstrom. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, and most of all spending time with his family.
Mark is survived by his siblings Jeff (Amanda) Meskimen, John (Stephanie) Meskimen and Tracy Meskimen; his nieces and nephews Maranda (Jeremy) Kaefring, Marissa and Blake Meskimen, Cole (Kailee) Meskimen, Callan (Matt) Hansen, Jessie (Bryan) Clark, Chris (Mikaela) Robison, Sarah Robison (Adam Teshinsky); great-nieces and -nephews Grayson and Silvie Kaefring, Stella, Saylor and Sawyer Meskimen, Jorah Hansen, Berkley and Watson Robison; as well as his cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
