MARK HUEBBE
Cedar Rapids
Mark Huebbe, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed on Dec. 13, 2018, after a long health struggle. Memorial services:
3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: two hours before services.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; children, Jason (Joey) Huebbe of Davenport, Jennifer Huebbe of Cedar Rapids, Derek (Laura Bina) Huebbe of Muscatine and Sara Kay Huebbe and Brenten (Jessica) Huebbe of Independence; grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, JJ, Jacobi, Jaden, Connar, Bryson, Carter, Lilly, Jane, Zoey, Katie, Brandon, Anna, Terrie, Nyssa, Kiefer and Brach; siblings, Pam (Paul) Ryder and Troy (Don) Ellis; and favorite mother-in-law, Frances Vawter.
Mark Allen was born June 3, 1954, in Clinton, Iowa, son of Wilfred and Mariam (Parker) Huebbe. On June 20, 1983, he married his love, Rebecca Vawter, in Iowa City. They raised their family with a lot of fun-loving humor and many of the corny jokes that Mark loved. He made his living as an owner/operator of a taxi, most recently with Yellow Cab.
In off hours, Mark enjoyed fishing, boating and traveling to the mountains to listen to the elk bugle. He also was a car enthusiast, restoring a '73 Charger, going out of his way for car shows and watching NASCAR. Most of all, he enjoyed watching Westerns, especially with the grandchildren whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerry Huebbe; and father-in-law, Bud Vawter.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
