Mark FoxDouglas, 54, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. As per Mark's wishes, a visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial for Mark will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Center Point Cemetery. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Mark's home, located at 1063 27th St. NE.
Mark was born Jan. 25, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Lawrence and Glenda (Clark) Boyd. Mark worked as a lithographer for over 20 years in the Washington, D.C., area. Mark was united in marriage to Gregory FoxDouglas on May 4, 2009, in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed photography, going to garage sales, helping other people and loved to spend time with his animals.
Mark accepted Christ over three years ago and was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Mark is survived by his husband, Gregory; his mother, Glenda Wixom of Salem; his three brothers, Darrell (Angie) Cannon of Center Point, Danny Cannon and Jimmy Cannon, both of Cedar Rapids; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Debbie Waddell; as well as his grandparents.
