Victor
Mark A. Chvala, 59, of Iowa City, formerly of Victor, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at his home in Iowa City. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church near Victor. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home in Victor beginning at noon Thursday. The family will be present at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mark Chvala Memorial Fund and sent in care of Smith Funeral Home in Victor.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Chvala of Victor; his children, Aric (Lacey) Chvala of Vinton, Kyle (Jillissa) Chvala of Marengo and Allison (Jacob) Madren of Grinnell; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Don Chvala of Center Point.
