Mark A. Chalstrom, 53, of Marion, died Wednes-day, Dec. 3, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Oakshade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include his daughter, Katie Chalstrom; father, Don Chalstrom; sister, Linda Chalstrom; brothers, Gary (Sherri) Chalstrom and Edward Chalstrom; nieces and nephews, Matt, Trevor, Danica and Spencer; and stepdaughter, Alyssa.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgina.
Mark was born May 20, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Don and Georgina (Sorenson) Chalstrom. He graduated from Marion High School with the class of 1979. Mark was married to Lorie Barth; they later divorced. He was then married to Angie Turnis; they were later divorced.
Mark was an avid fisherman. He was a huge fan of the Hawkeyes, Vikings and NASCAR. He also enjoyed airplanes.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
