Mark A Chittenden, 56, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at St Luke’s Hospital. Per Mark’s wishes no services are scheduled.
Survivors include: his parents; Monica (Allen) Miller, and Jeff Chittenden, daughters; Faith (Anthony) Palumbo and Hannah Chittenden, grandchildren; Aiden, Bella, A.J., Aurora, Ezekiel, Aziza and Ariella. A stepbrother, Nathan Miller and his son, Kasey.
Mark Allen Chittenden was born August 8, 1968, to Jeff and Monica Chittenden in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School in 1986. After high school Mark began working for father’s gas station. Mark then enlisted in the U.S. Navy at Miramar, California and worked as an aircraft electrician on F-14 Tomcats. He returned to Cedar Rapids and married Ann Thode and started a family with two daughters. Mark was employed with Iowa Glass for a number of years as a stocker. He enjoyed taking walks, playing online games, loved the movies, eating out and was a big Hawkeye fan. Fishing was a passion with his grandfather.
Mark will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
