Marjorie "Marge" Anderson, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in the hospice unit at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Pastor Bonnie Koeppen. Visitation: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Mark (Carla) Anderson of Melbourne, Fla., Rick (Deb) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Bruce (Sandra) Anderson of Encinitas, Calif., Don Anderson (Jane Dohrmann) of Iowa City and Ron (Carol) Anderson-Lehman of Honolulu, Hawaii; nine grandchildren, Paige Anderson, Nicole Anderson, Alicia Anderson, Chelsea Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Hope Dohrmann Anderson, Jesse Anderson-Lehman, Samuel Anderson-Lehman and Laura Anderson-Lehman; and brothers, James (Sue) McKee of Columbia, Mo., Walter (Judy) McKee of Cedar Rapids and Marlan (Nancy) McKee of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marge was born July 2, 1936, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, daughter of Jesse and Gladys (Ogg) McKee. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1953, Burlington Junior College in 1955 and Coe College in 1957. She married Robert Anderson on Nov. 27, 1957, in Cedar Rapids. Marge taught and then became an accountant for the Cedar Rapids Community Schools, where she retired after 20 years.
She was a member of Mother of Twins Club. Marge served on the residence councils for Crystal Estates and Prairie Hills. She enjoyed doing crosswords and cross stitch. Later in life, she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles with her friends at Prairie Hills.
Her love was her family and traveling and taking cruises with her husband.
