Marjorie E. Krug, 87, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Vinton, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Heritage
Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m.
Saturday, June 28, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, with the Rev. Lexi Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will be at the Garrison Cemetery in Garrison. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until service time Sat-urday.
Marjorie was born Sept. 11, 1926, in Monroe Township near Garrison, to John J. and Wilma F. (Urmy) Krug.
She enjoyed embroidery, reading and collecting poetry and "sayings." Marjorie also loved flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Schlitter of Vinton and Lois A. Irwin of Cedar Rapids; and five nephews.
Her parents and two brothers, Melvin and Jimmie Krug, and her nephew, Bill Irwin, preceded her in death.
