Marjorie "Marge" A.
Jordan, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Manor Care Health Services, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Emory Gillespie. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include her son, Bill (Kimberli) Jordan of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Kathy (Charlie) Litow of Cedar Rapids and Karen (Roy) Van Zweden of Lakewood, Colo.; grandchildren, Curtis Litow and Aaron, Eli, Miles and Jonas Van Zweden; brother, David (Lynn) Chapman of Springfield, Ill.; her sister-in-law; and nine nieces and
nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Born March 16, 1933, in Holstein,
Iowa, Marge was the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Jess) Chapman. She was united in marriage to Richard Jordan on June 20, 1954, in Cedar Rapids. He died Dec. 10, 1995.
Marge's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She was loved by many. Marge also enjoyed bowling, golf, bridge and watching college basketball, especially the Hawkeyes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Marge's memory to the American Cancer Society.
