Marjorie Eileen (Forsyth) Radcliffe age 83, of Pompano Beach Florida, formerly of Vinton, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, in Delray Beach Florida after spending the day surrounded by her Family and Friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton, with Rev. Brian Channel officiating. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service
Marjorie was born in Vinton Iowa on March 21, 1941, one of the daughters of Carl and Alma Forsyth. She graduated from high school in 1959. She met her husband Jim her sophomore year in high school when she was 16 years old. They knew they wanted to get married after only their second date. The two got married on December 19th, 1959, and were married for 64 years before her passing.
Marjorie was a kind and loving Wife, Mother, and Grandma. She loved to play sports when she could. Her favorites were Softball, Bowling, and Tennis. She roughly has about 34 trophies for those sports. Her favorite hobbies were Bird watching, making crafts, and Baking for and with her loved ones.
For most of her married life in Vinton and Florida she was a housewife and had a few side jobs like,” Delivering phone books, reading meters, and helping her sons with their paper routes”, before she and her husband Jim started their own business. They owned and operated a lawn care service in Florida called, "The Green Monkey Tree Service.” Which, she was the Secretary and Vice President for 27 years. They had the business from 1990 to 2017 when they sold the business and both retired. Leaving more time for them to travel and spend time with their loved ones.
She will be dearly missed by her Husband, James “Jim” Radcliffe. Her older sister, Evelyn Follensbee. Her 3 sons and 2 daughters in law, Jefferey “Jeff” Radcliffe, Andrew “Andy” and Lisa Radcliffe, and Craig and Norma Radcliffe. Along with her bundle of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, parents in law, and brother-in-law.
