Marjorie Ann "Margie" Collins, 77, died at her home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Gospel Light Baptist Church, Marion, where visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Kip Morrow will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Wilcox Cemetery, Viola. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, has been entrusted to care for Marjorie's services and family.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Wilbur; six children, Corinne (Ray) Richardson, Atkins, Theresa Collins, Viola, Eric (Tammy) Collins, Pensacola, Fla., Pat (Ely) Collins, Marion, Robert (Jeanna) Collins, Springville, and Tim (Erica) Collins, Cedar Rapids; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three siblings, Vivian Collins, Central City, Lois Schweers, Anamosa, and Roger (Dorothy) Grassfield, Mount Holly, N.C.; her special friend, Donna Tisl, Hiawatha; and two uncles, Ed Biggart, Shellsburg, and Richard and Shirley Biggart, Anamosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Keith; and her stepfathers, Leslie Bonner and Ben Jones.
Marjorie Ann Grassfield was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Mabel Moss Grassfield. Margie graduated from Anamosa Community Schools in 1957. She worked at Gray's Bus Depot in Anamosa for several years. Marjorie married Wilbur Collins on Jan. 4, 1958, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa. The couple made their home near Viola, where they raised their six children.
Marjorie was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church.
