MARJORIE "MARGE" BLEVINS

Marjorie "Marge" Blevins, 92, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at MeadowView Memory Care Village in Cedar Rapids.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel. A reception will be at Cedar Memorial Park Family Center following services.
She was born July 15, 1923, in Rock Rapids, Iowa, daughter of John and Louise Riter Kerns. She married Clarence "Bud" Blevins in Wayne, Neb., on July 23, 1944. He died Feb. 11, 1985. She married Guilford "Jim" Pitcher on Jan. 4, 1992, in Cedar Rapids.
She graduated from Rock Rapids High School in 1942. She worked at Wilson-Sinclair in Cedar Rapids for many years, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed league bowling with friends and attended state and national tournaments for several years. She enjoyed taking grandchildren along with her to bingo or just out to eat at a favorite restaurant. Family times were very meaningful to Marge. She was a founding member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Tom (Linda) of Parkersburg, Mike (Janice) of Waterloo and Jerry (Joan) of Cottage Grove, Wis.; one stepdaughter, Arlene (Jack) Wolfe of Omaha, Neb.; three stepsons, Jim (Shirley) Pitcher Jr. of Coralville, David (Anne) Pitcher of Cedar Rapids and Rob (Sue) Pitcher of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; and 18 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sister, Katherine Norris of Duluth, Minn.; two sisters-in-law, Fran Frangente of Escondido, Calif., and Ruth Blevins of Torrance, Calif.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Kerns and Joseph Kerns; two sisters, Mary Elisabeth Kerns and Ruth Kerns; a stepson, Rick Pitcher; and grandson, Christopher Blevins.
