MARIAN VOLLE
Tipton
Marian Volle, 90, of Tipton, returned home to eternal life while surrounded by family on Monday, July 18, 2016. Services will be at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Olin Cemetery.

Marian was born Feb. 18, 1926, to John and Mabel (Cook) Amend in Rock Island, Ill. She attended West Hale Country School and passed her GED later in life. Marian wed Ernest Kunde in 1944 in Tipton. They had four children. She later married Kenneth G. Volle in 1984 in Tipton. They resided in Holmesville, Neb., until his death in 2009. She then returned to Tipton, residing at Cedar Manor and enjoying many activities and family get-togethers.
Marian was a loving homemaker, who enjoying quilting, baking, reading, walking, faith and family. She attended Cedar Street Baptist Church in Tipton and Church of the Brethren in Holmesville. She worked briefly at Collins Radio during World War II. She also worked at Schultz Bros. in Tipton, baked pies at several area restaurants and retired from Sheller-Globe in 1984.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Larry) Koberg, Walcott; Gary Kunde (Cheryl VanZuiden), Tipton; Connie Cox (Shawn Taylor), Delhi, N.Y.; and Sandy Kunde (Dan Luettjohann), Tipton; grandchildren, Lori (Mark) Ehlers, Las Vegas, Nev.; Lisa (Rob) Ankney, Walcott; Aaron Kunde, Anamosa; and Melissa Helmold (Brad Bahnsen), Clarence; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Wood, Fort Wayne, Ind.; brother, Robert Amend, Cedar Rapids; Nebraska stepchildren: Charlotte (Marvin) Wood, Palmyra; Deanna Volle (Mark Burmeister), Omaha; Ken (Marty) Volle, Clearwater; Ron (Kathy) Volle, Beatrice; and Christopher (Jane) Volle, Forsyth, Ill. Marian also touched the lives of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, stepfamily and friends.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Marcia Amend; sister, Ruth Mae Hubler; brother-in-law, Walter Wood; and husband, Ken Volle.
