Marion A. Greenwood, 97, of Farley, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at 11:55 p.m. at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
Friends and relatives of Marion may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, where a Farley American Legion Auxiliary service will be held at 7 p.m and a Scripture wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friends also may call after 9 a.m. on Saturday at Reiff Funeral Home.
Services for Marion will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, with the Rev. Richard Kuhn presiding. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley.
Surviving are four children, Billie (Paul Allen) Greenwood of Davenport, Val (Ron) Lucas of Holy Cross, Erin (Gary) Sundberg of Cedar Rapids and Gina (Chris Lakner) Greenwood of Madison, Wis.; five grandchildren, Ben (fiance Simmy Thompson) Lucas, Josh (Megan) Lucas, Anna (Carlos Marin) Lucas, Leah Lucas and Grant Sundberg; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Savannah Lucas; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her firstborn infant daughter, Cheryl Ann; and her grandson, David Lucas. Marion was the last surviving member of her family of origin, including her parents; a brother, Gene Leibold; and three sisters, June Hendricks, Colleen Bannon and Geri Wieser.
In lieu of flowers, a Marion Greenwood Memorial Fund has been established.
