Marinus, Ruth M. (O'Brien)
Ruth M. (O'Brien) Marinus, 89, of Independence, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Buchanan County Long Term Care Center in Independence.
She is survived by five children, Linda (Mike) Anderson, Phoenix, Ariz., Donna Bundy, Independence, Gary (Joann) O'Brien, Independence, Dennis (Cheryl) O'Brien, Camarillo, Calif., and Lawrence (Melissa) O'Brien, Manassas, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Quass, Presque Isle, Maine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, with the Rev. Don Plamondon officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a parish vigil service held at 7:30 p.m. today.
