Marilyn K. Usher, 76, of Crowley, Colo., passed away at her home on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017. Per her wishes, she has been cremated and a gathering for family and friends will be held in the spring.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Usher, of Crowley; daughter, Cindy (Wayne Rick) of Marion, Iowa; son, Wade; siblings, Lois Edaburn of Cedar Rapids, Robert "Leo" Readnour of Cedar Rapids, Billy (Dorothy) Readnour of Garrison, Betty Readnour (Wayne Morton) of Alaska, Ron Readnour (Jeri Ewton) of Florida and Linda (Roger) Midthun of Anamosa; and a very large extended family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Neva Readnour; sister, Madeline Drake; and brother, William "Maynard" Readnour.
Marilyn was born at home in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Garrison High School and married Robert Usher in Garrison on a hot summer day. They made their home in the Vinton-Shellsburg area until the early 1980s, when they moved to Colorado. Marilyn and Bob loved playing in the mountains and the more moderate weather of southern Colorado as they got older, and she got her wish to never leave.
Memories and memorials may go to Robert Usher at P.O. Box 34, Crowley, CO 81033.
