Marilyn Elaine Crawley, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids. Service: 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, at the church. Burial: Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Arrangements made by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Marilyn was born Oct. 24, 1935, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Virginia (Myers) Immel. She was united in marriage to Leo Crawley on Dec. 26, 1953, in Waterloo. Marilyn was employed at APAC where she performed clerical work. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and Toastmasters. Marilyn was a Girl Scout leader and an active member of the P.T.A. She enjoyed singing, sewing, crocheting, quilting and traveling.
Survivors include her grandchildren, James Jr. (Brandy), Samantha, Chuck (Bridget) and Carolyn (Che); 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Regli Crawley; nieces and nephews, Barbara Sue, Kathy and Scott; and friends, Buzz, Patty, Dave and Pastor Dan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Virginia Immel; husband, Leo Crawley; children, Mary Crawley and James Crawley Sr.; sister, Marge Penne; and grandson-in-law, Donald.
