Marilyn E. Gubbels, 81, passed away peacefully in Hiawatha, May 26, 2021. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memoires at 10 a.m., with service immediately following at

Marilyn was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Spencer, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Ruby Falline. Marilyn was married to Donald Gubbels on Jan. 23, 1960. He later passed away in 1987. Marilyn and Donald had four children, Marcia George, Clarence (Lynea), Michael (Bronna), and Cheryl Rawson. She taught a knitting class in Cedar Rapids for many years. She was a home health aide for many years.
She enjoyed knitting, spending time with family and friends, playing solitaire and card games with loved ones.
She is survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen (Millard) Hurd and Linda (Ron) Owen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Lowell and Roger Falline; and a special friend, Fuzzy.
