Marilyn A. Borchardt, 82, of Hiawatha, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Hiawatha Care Center. A private Funeral Service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private Interment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marilyn was born on June 23, 1940, in Oxford Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Willard and Lydia (Bemrose) Eacker. She graduated from Oxford Junction High School in 1958. Marilyn was the mother of two children, Deanna and Bill. Over the years, she worked at various places including Hy-Vee and Econo Foods bakeries, Blimpie Subs, and provided child-care. Marilyn was an avid gardener and enjoyed feeding the birds. Marilyn was also an artist with specialties in sewing, needle work, crafts and baking.
Survivors include her children, Deanna (Ronald) Holtzman of Hiawatha and Bill (Carrie) Borchardt of Manchester; grandchildren, Andrew, Mitchell, Austin, Megan, Grant and Camryn; and great-grandchildren, Nora and Logan.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
