Marie Germaine Sigwarth, 100, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 30 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marie was born November 4, 1923, in Luxemburg, Iowa to Adolph and Mathilda Schaul. She was the youngest of nine children. She graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in Luxemburg. Marie married Ewald Sigwarth; they later divorced. She worked at Rockwell Collins, enjoyed dancing, gardening, cooking and sewing. She loved all nature- birds, deer, and flowers. She was assertive, fearless, eager to share her thoughts and ideas.
Survivors include her children, Marlene Sigwarth, Richard (Christine) Sigwarth, Earl (Judy) Sigwarth, Karen Keenan, Joyce (Ron) Longerbeam, Judy Mackert, and Steve Sigwarth; nine grandchildren, one step-grandchild, 10 great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, Eugene Sigwarth, Patricia Starks, Lynn Sigwarth; grandson, Travis Sigwarth; sons in law, Ken Keenan and Doug Mackert.
