Former Iowa Citian Marie Rose passed away March 21, 2015, in Fresno, Calif.
She was born Sept. 13, 1916, to Edward and Josephine Zika Korab. She graduated from Iowa City High School in 1934. Marie and her husband, Robert Rose, moved to California in 1944. They lived in Richmond, Calif., for over 40 years.
Survivors include brother, Edward Korab and wife Marcia (Saratoga); daughters, Carolyn Hewitt (Fresno) and Marian Lucas (Clovis); son, Robert Rose and wife Linda (San Jose); eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her sister, June Korab, preceded her in death.
Marie rests next to her husband, Robert, in Madronia Cemetery, Saratoga, Calif.
