Marie Graham
MARIE GRAHAM Ankeny Marie Graham, 92, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa, on Friday, April 18, 2014. Marie Ann Thompson was born June 8, 1921, on a farm near Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Amos and Elizabeth (McDonald) Thompson. On Oc. 9, 1937, Marie was united in marriage to Todd Graham. The couple made their home in the Cedar Rapids area and raised their family there. Marie enjoyed traveling and having coffee with her friends. She was a faithful member and volunteer at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny. Most of all Marie's family held a special place in her heart and she loved Sunday dinners with her great-grandchildren and family. Survivors include her children, Nancy Graham of Cameron Park, Calif., and Tim (Gail) Graham of Ankeny; two grandchildren, Brad (Tracy) Graham of Ankeny and Chad (Brenda) Graham of Frankfurt, Germany; and four great-grand-children, Tyler, Ethan, Noah and Beatrice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Todd; brother, James Thompson; and her parents. A memorial service will be held in Ankeny at a later date, with burial in Cedar Rapids.
