MARIAN SARAH WOODS

Marian Sarah Woods, 90,
of Central City, Iowa, left this world for a much better place, after fighting a battle with dementia for several years,
on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at The Views in Marion, Iowa.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at Mount Clark Cemetery in Central City, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral

Marian was born on March 18, 1931, in West Branch, Iowa, to Seth and Verna (Anderson) Albin. The family moved to Central City where Marion graduated high school in 1948. She was united in marriage to Harold Woods on Oct. 30, 1949. Marian worked at City State Bank and then for the Central City School District as a Secretary to the Superintendent until 1990.
Harold and Marian enjoyed auctions and gas engines, the old '48 and touring, until Harold passed in 2008. They volunteered and exhibited gas engines and quilts at the Old Threshers in Mount Pleasant for many years. Harold and Marian were proud to camp there on "Flamingo Road". Marian enjoyed all needle crafts, quilting, reading, puzzles and baking. She was active in the United Church of Christ in Central City where she served on the church council and with Women's Fellowship.
Marian is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Teresa (Ed) Miller of Marion; two grandsons, Jason (Stacy) and Bryan (Dana) Miller; four great-grandchildren, Brandon and Sadie Miller, Kaiya Baumgartner and Zander Miller; and one brother, Delbert (Joyce) Albin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Harold Woods; one sister, Thelma Millard; and three brothers, Keith, Robert and Wendell Albin.
