MARIAN (BARTA) MEHRING

Marian D. (nee Barta) Mehring, 91, passed away peacefully at Holy Family Villa in Palos Park, Ill., on Oct. 15, 2016.
Marian was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Feb, 9, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Nellie (nee McCarthy) Barta. Her mother, Nellie, passed away in 1930, and then her father married Helen Biskup. She was a 1943 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Cedar Rapids.
Marian is survived by her children, Stephen, Carol (Michael) Meaniach, Barbara, Jane and Thomas Mehring; grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew and Alex; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Peieters; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Helen; and brother, Chuck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington, Wis. Burial will be in the church cemetery following Mass.
