Margie Alice Rompot, 58,
of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 5, 2020, at St. Lukes Hospital. Celebration of Life services will be livestreamed starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9,
on Brosh Chapel's Facebook page. The Rev. Mr. Vernon Rompot KHS will be
presiding at the service.
Friends and family are encouraged to view, leave a condolence during this time. Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery. Private family visitation will be held at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre. An additional Celebration of Life gathering will be held in the near future.
Margie was born Oct. 23, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Harlan and Carolyn (Fuller) Bray. She graduated from Vinton High School, and later attended Kirkwood College to study nursing. Margie was united in marriage to Randy Rompot on Sept. 6, 1982, at The Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua. Margie was a CNA at Mercy Medical Center for more than 12 years. She enjoyed taking drives, occasionally visiting a casino along the way and, most of all, spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.
Margie is survived by her husband, Randy Sr.; her children, Randy "RJ" Rompot Jr. of Cedar Rapids and Dennis Kramer of Aplington; stepchildren, Adam Rompot (Kristy Pledge) and Katie (Keith) Borden, both of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, David Kramer of Flagstaff, Ariz.; her sister, Brenda (Rod) Anderson of Parkersburg and Cynthia of Tomahawk, Wis.; her stepfather, Dennis (Jennifer) Kramer Sr. of Aplington; her sisters-in-law, Sue (Clyde) Mihal-Melvin of Cedar Rapids and Barbara Rompot of Hopkinton; her brother-in-law, Vern Rompot of Cedar Rapids; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn "Buffy" Kramer; her sister, Cindy Lovell; her brother-in-law, Albert "Bobby" Rompot; her grandson, Isaack Rompot; her nephew, Heath Michael Mihal; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vernon Sr. and Sadie Rompot.
