MARGARET ZIESER

Margaret R. Zieser, 92, of Walker, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at North-brook Manor Care Center,
Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Walker, by
Father Ardel Barta. Family will greet friends from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the church, where a rosary Scripture service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Burial: Spencer's Grove Cemetery, Urbana.
Survivors include her children, Keith Zieser of Walker, Elizabeth O'Neill of Cedar Rapids and Mickey (Jim) Coonfare of
Swisher; seven grand-children; 12 great-grand-children; and two sisters, Mary Porter and Rita O'Connell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Eileen Stoos; and three brothers, George, Walter and Leo Rauch.
Margaret was born July 7, 1921, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Mausser) Rauch, in
Temple Hill,
Iowa. On Sept. 23, 1942, she was united in marriage to
Elmer Zieser in Cascade. For 45 years, Margaret and Elmer owned and operated Zieser Appliance Store.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
