Margaret Violet Taylor, 94, of Longmont, Colo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Peaks Care Center in Longmont. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Friends may call one hour before the service on Friday at the chapel. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, John (Theresa) Tremain and Terry Sue (Jeff) Osborn; seven grandchildren, Christine Watters, William Howard Tremain, Paul Anthony Tremain, Charles Tremain, Tina Adams, Jon Adams and Barry (Joy) Osborn; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; and three sisters, Betty Ann Sterns, Dorothy Cooley and Jean Koranda.
Margaret Taylor was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank and Opal (Barnett) Borst. Margaret graduated from Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to Howard (Bud) Tremain on July 3, 1940, in Cedar Rapids. He passed away in 1975. Her second husband was Lloyd Taylor. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Margaret enjoyed flowers, family picnics, holidays, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star and ABWA.
Margaret will always be remembered for being a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
