Margaret S. Scott, 93, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Central City, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 14, at Jordan's Grove Baptist Church, Central City, conducted by the Rev. Steve Russell. Burial: Jordan's Grove Cemetery, Central City.
Margaret is survived by her son, Kenver (Diane) Scott; daughters-in-law, Denise LeAnn Scott and Denise Marie Scott; grandchildren, Michael (Jill), Robert (Stacy), Eric, Stephanie (Scott), Chad (Heather) and Janae; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Ida Pratt, Bertha Wenger and Betty Ann Jordan; and brothers, H. Mundy (JoAnn) Enabnit and Gene (Lora Mae) Enabnit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle E. Scott; sons, Brian and Kelly; sisters, June Ahrensdorf, Nellie Ash, Helen Whitney and Ilene Whitney; and a great-granddaughter, Megan Scott.
Margaret was born April 27, 1924, in Ryan, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Marie (Brechbuhl) Enabnit. On Aug. 1, 1942, she was united in marriage to Lyle E. Scott. Margaret was a member of the Jordan's Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid Cubs fan and amazing cook. She will be greatly missed by her family.
A memorial fund has been established in Margaret's memory.
