Margaret Elsie Roberts, 38, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a sudden illness. No formal services are planned. In memory of Margaret, her family encourages friends to visit Artifacts and pick up something fun.
Margaret was born Aug. 8, 1982, in Iowa City, the daughter of Michael and Connie (Westvig) Roberts. She was a graduate of City High School and received her BFA from the University of Iowa.
Margaret was a longtime employee at Artifacts, where she always welcomed shoppers with a smile. Prior to that, Margaret had worked at Dick Blick and Old Capitol Screenprinters.
Margaret is survived by her mother, Connie of Iowa City; her sister, Elizabeth Ann (Garrett) Stettler of the United Kingdom; and numerous aunts and uncles, including Nancy Westvig (Michael Burt) of Iowa City.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Michael, in 2019.
