Margaret Reinier died peacefully Jan. 20, 2016, at the Woodlands at The Meth-Wick Community in Cedar Rapids. She was 101 years young.
Margaret was born Christmas Day 1914 in Lisbon, Iowa, to John and Marie Bittle. She had three half brothers, Gomer, Maynard and Everette. Margaret graduated from Cedar Rapids Business College and worked at Inter-Ocean Reinsurance and Metro Credit Union. She married Hugh W. Reinier in Cedar Rapids on June 15, 1947.
Margaret always was known for her love of sewing and living her life by always seeing the silver lining in every gray cloud.

She helped throughout with church dinners, collection drives and member support. As a resident of the Meth-Wick Community, Margaret continued volunteering at the community store, and as a lifelong reader, volunteered at Greenwood's library.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her three half brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Nazemian (Charlie) of Reno, Nev.; her two granddaughters, Emily Maushardt and Morgan Metzger, and her three great-grandsons, Xander, Kipton and Declan Maushardt, all of Reno. She also was survived by someone who was near and dear to her, Connie Wildfield, and her many nieces and nephews and their families.
A service will be held at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 3 p.m., with a reception to follow.
