MARGARET M. "PEGGY" GREENE

Margaret M. "Peggy" Greene, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at her home. Visitation: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Celebration of Life: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; daughter, Sherry (Joseph) Hunter; son, Jeff Jagielski; stepdaughter, Dawn (Jeff) Evans; stepson, Charles Michael Greene; six grandchildren; and sister, Patricia (Larry) Glerum.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathy McDonald.
Peggy was born July 25, 1940, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Ludwig) Cosgriff. On June 21, 1991, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Charles and Peggy were united in marriage. She was a nurse for 30 years in the oncology department and in other fields. Peggy enjoyed reading, collecting moose and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to Hospice of Mercy, to all the nurses, aides and staff who took care of Peggy. Everyone was wonderful.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the memory of Peggy.
