MARGARET NETOLICKY

Margaret M. Netolicky, 96, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at Cottage Grove Place. Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be one hour before the service at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Father David Beckman will officiate. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Survivors include her sister, Carol (Zeman) Corrigan of Clive; nieces, Katie Corrigan of Chicago and Ann (Dr. Chris) McDonald of Urbandale; nephew, John (Missy) Corrigan of Iowa City; great-niece, Meghan McDonald; great-nephew, Connor McDonald; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lumear "Bud"; her parents, Wesley and Ida (Formanek) Zeman; brother, Bernard Zeman; stepmother, Agnes (Jakoubek) Zeman; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Bell) Zeman; and brother-in-law, James Corrigan.
Margaret was born Aug. 4, 1919, the daughter of Wesley and Ida (Formanek) Zeman in Duncan, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Lumear "Bud" Netolicky on Feb. 14, 1944, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Margaret graduated from St. Angela's Academy in Carroll. She was employed by Security Laboratories for 35 years. Margaret and her husband owned Netolicky Air Conditioning and Radiator Service.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library, former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Moss Reflections of the P. Buckley Moss Society.
Margaret and her husband enjoyed their many travels in the United States, which included Alaska. They also traveled to Canada and many countries in Europe. After she retired, Margaret enjoyed working in the yard and with her flowers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthew's Catholic Church or Hospice of Mercy.
