Margaret Martha Monroe, 93, of Sigourney, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Sigourney Care Center. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, with Pastor Joel and Pastor Gail Aurand officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth.
Memorials have been established for the Sigourney Care Center and for Hospice Compassus.

She is survived by her son, Bill Monroe and wife Chris of Ankeny; son, Thomas Monroe and wife Loree of Sigourney; son, Dennis Monroe and wife Cheryl of Sigourney; son, Mike Monroe of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
