Margaret B. "Peggy" Mogensen, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be
Friday, Dec. 12, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. The Rev. Paul and Gayle Wilcox will officiate at the service. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Peggy was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Keosauqua, Iowa, to Ernest R. and Addie Marie (Black) Miller. She was united in marriage to Clarence O. "Mogie" Mogensen in June 1956 in Des Moines. Peggy retired as activity director for Meth-Wick.
Peggy was an avid bowler and gardener.
She is survived by three children, Mindy M. (Pat) Lesmeister of Cedar Rapids, Cindy (Mike) Brady of Altoona and Randy W. (Kim) Mogensen of Cedar Rapids; two stepdaughters, Sherri Pedersen and Christine Rundle, both of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan (Rick) Holt of Taneyville, Mo.; a brother, Richard E. (Margaret) Miller; and companion, Arther "Joe" Steinke.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mogie, in 2004; and a sister, Maxine L. Shellburg.
Memorials in Peggy's name may be directed to Hospice of Mercy.
