Margaret Mary Huber, 93, of Solon, died Jan. 1, 2016, at Solon Care Center.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Farley.

Margaret was born July 29, 1922, in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Meyer) Huber. She graduated from Farley High School and later moved to the Iowa City area. Here she worked at the VA Medical Center for over 32 years before retiring in 1984.
She moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., enjoying the sunshine for 29 years, before returning to Iowa in 2013.
Her family includes a sister-in-law, Lucile Huber; nieces and nephews, Walter Huber Jr. (Donna), Eugene Huber (Lorraine), Gary Huber (Diane), Gwen Jensen (Raymond), Tim Huber (Pam), Dudley Huber (Diane), Robert Huber (Mary), John Huber, Steve Huber (Mary), Matt Huber (Jill), Phil Huber (Terry), Mike Huber (Sheryl) and Jeff Huber.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Gundersen (Augon); brothers, Walter (Irene), Daniel (Mary "Jean"), Martin (Marie), LeRoy, Paul "Ivo" (Lucile) and Jerome "Jerry" (Lyndell "Lynn"); a nephew, Daniel Huber Jr.; a niece, Kathleen Huber; and a great-niece, Mindy Sue Huber.
The family would like to thank Iowa City Hospice, with a special thank-you to the staff at Solon Care Center.
