MARGARET FUEHRER
Vinton
Margaret Fuehrer, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 5, at Westridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Per Margaret's request, there
will be no service. Cedar Memorial will be in charge
of her cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Camp Courageous or the charity of the donor's choice in Margaret's name.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Walter) Okerlund of Cedar Rapids and Teresa (Brad) Hulick of Annawan, Illi.; four grandchildren, Nikki Vance, Trevor Okerlund, Damon and Rhett Hulick; sister, Evelyn (Carl) Boice; sister-in-law, Maxine Miller; several nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend, Deanne Henkle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; and son, Larry Fuehrer; and several siblings.
Margaret was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Black Hawk County, to Homer and Gladys Crow. She married Ted Fuehrer on June 8, 1947, in Vinton, Iowa, and remained there most of her life, working for Hawk Bilt and later Karr Tuckpointing. She enjoyed reading, gardening and nature, which included mushrooming, nutting, fishing and feeding birds. But her greatest joy were her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and enjoyed talking with.
We would like to thank the staff of Vinton Lutheran Home Assisted Living and the staff of Westridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids and the many who visited and cared for her from Care Initiatives Hospice at Westridge.
Margaret will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but lovingly remembered always.
Online condolences and messages may be shared with the family at cedarmemorial.com under obituaries.
