Margaret F. Frimml, 96, of Tama, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Iowa River Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 21, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tama. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama.
Margaret was born March 2, 1921, in Norway, Iowa, the daughter of Frank A. and Anna M. (Hiebel) Plotz.
On April 14, 1947, she was united in marriage to Gilbert F. Frimml in Norway. Margaret was a homemaker and also farmed with her husband until their retirement. Margaret was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. She loved gardening and flowers and also enjoyed cooking. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Survivors include three sons, Ray (Sue) Frimml of Brooklyn, Lee Frimml of Sigourney and John (Jane) Frimml of Marshalltown; two daughters, Mary Frimml of Pinehurst, N.C., and Rose Frimml of Tama; three grandchildren, David (Shiela) Frimml, Cheryl (Darwin) Hart and Christie (Raymond) Cheville-Brady; four great-grandchildren, Avery, Eli and Emme Frimml and Miranda Cheville; one stepgreat-granddaughter, Cheyanne Hart; one brother, Walter (Dolores) Plotz of Swisher; and one sister, Agnes Nie of Jesup.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Gilbert; three brothers, Lawrence, Edward and Martin Plotz; and three sisters, Irene LaGrange, Lucile Plotz, and Sister Mary Charmaine.
Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice.
