Margaret C. Emerson, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at Living Center East. Per Margaret's request, there will be no visitation or service. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Michael) Schmitz of Cedar Rapids and Patty (Gary) Agans of Greensboro, N.C.; seven grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Margaret was born July 29, 1929, in Woodburn, the daughter of Thomas and Lillian Heston Page. She married Robert Ray Emerson on June 8, 1946, in Atchison, Kan. Robert passed away in 1994.
Margaret was a preschool teacher for many years. She enjoyed travel and the time spent with her beloved family and friends.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established.
