Margaret Hamilton Kindred Babcock died Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, in Panora, Iowam surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Hepburn, Iowa. She lived in Panora most of her life, where she and her husband, La Verne Kindred, raised their family. Margaret received her BSN degree from the State University of Iowa and worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. La Verne died in 1975. In 1979, Margaret married Hurley Babcock. Hurley died in 1996. In 2006, Margaret moved to Iowa City,
where she lived with her daughters.
Survivors include her four children, Anne (Jaime) of Guadalajara, Mexico, Bill (Marcia) of Panora and Mary and Jane Kindred of Iowa City; a brother, Dr. William Hamilton of Santa Rosa, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.
