Marcia Ward, 66, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at
the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Chris and Keri Ward, both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Macey Stout, Cody Grapes, Cory Grapes and Mishayla Ward; siblings, Robert (Nancy) Sissel of Sioux City and Kathy McGarry of Cedar Rapids; nieces and nephews, Jason, Matt, Austin and Lauren Sissel; and her close neighbors, Lynn and Cheryl Johnson of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marcia was born Jan. 8, 1951, in Des Moines, daughter of Dale and Mary (Griffin) Sissel. She married William "Bill" Ward Jr. and they later divorced. Marcia worked at Little Drug Co. in Cedar Rapids for six years. She enjoyed crafting and making wedding cakes and candy. Marcia loved shopping and spending time with her granddaughter, Mishayla.
