Marcella Strempke
MARCELLA STREMPKE Independence Marcella Strempke was born in Masonville, Iowa, on March 15, 1937, to Clemmett B. Lynch and Margaret Kelley. Marcella passed away at her home in Kaufman, Texas, on Sept. 1, 2015. Marcella was raised in the Independence, Iowa, area and later moved to Texas in 1984. She retired in 1996 and moved back to Independence. In 2014, Marcella moved to Kaufman, Texas. She loved playing softball and gardening. On April 21, 1956, Marcella married Robert Edward Strempke in Cedar Rapids. Marcella is survived by her husband, Robert of Kaufman; sons, Steven Strempke and his wife, Sherry, of Kaufman, Thomas Strempke and his wife, Sherri, of Marion, Texas, and John Strempke and his wife, Crystar, of Monroe, N.C.; daughter, Julie Kacere and her husband, Scott, of Marion, Iowa; grandchildren, Branden, Aaron, Brittany, Jesse, Allison, Sarah and Ahnalyse; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Kaufman.
