Marcella K. "Sally" Reilly
of Shueyville died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Memorial Gathering: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery, Covington, at a later date.
Sally is survived by her husband, Tom; beloved dog, Otis; father, Max Sheetz;
siblings, Patricia Sheetz, Deb (Bill) Carey, Mike Sheetz and Becky (Ron) Fort; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Tom) Harbison, Marcy (Andrew) Oberbreckling, Matthew Stauffer (Miranda Vice), Layne (Anna) Sheetz and Landon Sheetz (Kelsey Otto); great-nieces and great-nephews, Emme, Brighton, Logan, Caedon, Quint and Brandon; goddaughter, Aubrey Hart, and her siblings, Sam and Charlie; as well as many other extended family members; and close friend, Noy Grady.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene; as well as her sister-in-law and friend, Melissa Sheetz.
Sally was born May 4, 1950, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Max and Darlene (Stover) Sheetz. On July 26, 1969, she married Tom Reilly. Sally worked at Rockwell Collins for 23 years and had recently retired from UIHC in Iowa City. Sally loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially the time with her great-nieces and great-nephews, who were like grandchildren to her and Tom.
Sally will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be sent to Camp Courageous in Monticello or Last Hope Animal Rescue, Cedar Rapids.
