Marcella Hay passed away on Sept. 14, 2023, in Cantonment, Fla.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1931, in Madison, Mo., to Howard and Fay Dell Powell. She was an U.S. Air Force veteran and served during the Korean War. She married Morris Hay on the March 10, 1951, at Scott AFB in Belleville, Ill.
Survivors include one son, Stephen (Jayme) of Lake Norden, S.D.; and one daughter, Heather (Jason) Moore of Spanish Fort, Ala. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Clint Hay of Brookings, S.D., Dawson Moore of San Antonio, Texas, and Olivia Moore of Spanish Fort, Ala.; and two sisters, Marilyn (Robert) Fort and Judy (Ken) Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris; her parents; an infant daughter; two brothers; Howard J. and Kenneth; and two sisters, Connie Smith and Helen Hayden.
She will be put to rest in a private ceremony at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
