Marcella Jean Jacobsen, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023. Private family services will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Marcella is survived by three children, Christine (Gary) Schmidt, Vernon Jacobsen and Kathleen (Donald) Jensen; grandchildren, Daniel Schmidt, Lynne (Jasson) Schenk, Dawn Jacobsen, Ari Jensen, Scott Jensen, Douglas (Stephanie) Jacobsen and Abbigail Jacobsen; and daughter-in-law, Virginia Jacobsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley Jacobsen; daughter-in-law, Margaret Jacobsen; grandson, Kenneth Jacobsen; brother, Thomas Harrison; and sister, Dora Friedwald.
Marcella was born on July 17, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Agnes Wright Harrison. She was married to Merril Jacobsen before his passing in May of 2014. Marcella was a devout member of Concordia Lutheran Church and it was her honor to serve the Lord.
