Marcella "Mickey" Mae Curley, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at Greenfield House, Hospice of Arizona, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, John; children, Kimberly (Michael) Callanan of Cedar Rapids and Thomas (Christine) Curley of Urbana; grandchildren, Amanda Morris, William (Lacy) Morris and Benjamin Curley; great-grandson, Rogan Morris; brother, Charles (Gloria) Hackman of Salem, Ore.; and sister, Karen Peterson of Fair Oaks, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James.
Mickey was born June 5, 1931, in New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Victor and Helen (Buskirk) Hackman. She married John Edward Curley on Feb. 24, 1968, in Cedar Rapids. Mickey worked for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids for 28 years.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 298 of Marion. Mickey enjoyed reading, playing bingo, dancing and traveling, especially to the mountains in Arizona.
She was a wonderful grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Memorials may be directed to her family in memory of Mickey.
